I started with the top one but then after putting the sky in the background, I remembered this picture and went with this one. I masked the mushrooms and adjusted their appearance and then masked the animals and did the same. Then I went online and found pictures of the ocean and masked it, changed the opacity, and laid it over the top but I might use a different picture because it makes the top mushrooms and stuff harder to see.
I am 100% getting the surrealism vibe you are trying to portray so far. It all looks very dreamlike and the layers are blending together very smoothly. Im excited to see where you go with this and the different elements to make it feel like a fantasy picture. Really push yourself to experiment with varying textures and brushes as well. Good work so far!
ReplyDeleteHi Claudia,
ReplyDeleteI really love the environment you've created with the mushrooms and the sea animals. I also agree with Lexi; I can see aspects of surrealism and dreams. I would maybe try and blend your background a little more with the ocean. Or you could flatten where they meet a bit to create a horizon line.
